Collection of Personal Information

We gather personal information about you when you ask us to do something for you through our website. For example, if you wish to register for a program or become a member, we need to gather your personal information for our records and to complete the registration process. Or if you sign up for a our Arts Notes e-newsletter, we need to store your email address.

We only use the personal information that we gather for purposes that you have agreed to, and we do not sell or provide it to any third parties. We might share your personal information if we are required to by law, to protect the interests of the ACWR, or to provide a service you have requested. We use security measures to protect your personal information. All personal information that you provide to us is stored in a secure environment to prevent unauthorized access.
Some areas of the web site can only be accessed with a personal username and password. Users who have been assigned a username and password are responsible for keeping their password confidential and secure. The ACWR Members’ areas are access-controlled. Members have access only to information to which they are authorized.
When you use secure areas of the site, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol with 128-bit encryption. This means that the information sent between your computer and our secure computer environment is encrypted or scrambled so that no one can read it in transit. Only you and authorized ACWR personnel can read it. When you use a secure area, the web site URL will appear as https:// and a lock or key will appear in the status bar of your web browser.
Secure areas of the site have a time-out feature. If you leave your secure session inactive for some time, it times-out to prevent unauthorized access.

Credit Cards

We accept credit card payments for rentals, memberships, and occasional art sales. If someone uses your credit card to make an unauthorized purchase, check with the institution that issued your credit card to find out what the liability is.


If you send us an email, we may save it if we think we’ll need to communicate with you. We never share or sell email addresses. Email is not a secure method of sending personal information because it is not encrypted. Please use our secure forms to send personal information and do not use email for this purpose.

Our web site contains links to sites maintained by other public and private organizations. When you link to these sites, you are leaving our web site and our information management policies no longer apply. We are not responsible for the content or opinions expressed on other web sites. Comments and inquiries should be directed to these organizations and not the ACWR.


Our website uses cookies to identify you as a member (when you are logged in to the website) and as a visitor (when not logged in) to our web analytics software (Google Analytics). These cookies do not collect or store private or confidential information Information that is collected through our back-end web applications (i.e. registrations for programs and memberships) requires a login by authorized Gallery personnel and is only used to better serve the needs of visitors, and is not shared beyond authorized Gallery personnel.
