Job Title: Production Operator
NOC Code: 95106 (9411)
Description\Duties
- Weigh materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to Master Formulation
- Add all accessory materials to product such as scoops and desiccant packs
- Package and seal finished product
- Use accessory equipment such as pumps and conveyors to move materials or ingredients through production processes
- Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using moving equipment and hand tools
- Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing, if required
- Record operational and production data on specific format
- Meet production goals and guidelines for the product being run
- Check the room for cleanliness and ensure no other product is present
- Clean and maintain equipment, using hand tools
- Advise supervisor of any issues that may occur
- All activities performed must follow the specific SOPs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Two years’ related experience or equivalent technical training/certification preferred; or a combination of related experience and technical training/certification
- Knowledge of Metric and Imperial weighing and measurements systems
- Basic understanding of mechanical machinery and the operating principles of control systems
- Demonstrated mathematical ability in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios and percentages
- Ability to use a calculator
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions including SOP’s and Batch Record documentation
- Accurate and precise in recording data and batch information
- Demonstrated ability to work in both independent and team environments
- Proficient in reading and writing English to understand work instructions and document results
- Demonstrated ability to operate pharmaceutical processing equipment
- Demonstrated ability to meet required standards of GMP
- Walk, stand for extended periods of time
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Grab, grasp and use fingers and hands to pack products and prepare shipments
- Wear appropriate safety equipment, as instructed
- Ability to operate a pallet jack safely
Salary: $15.50+ with potential for regular raises based on performance.
Hours of Work: Full-time, Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Occasional Saturdays.

Additional Information
- Majority of work time will be spent in production and warehouse where temperatures are cool/hot and noise level can be moderate to high
- Position is exposed to small particles, allergens and odours
- Position is required to wear common protective and/or safety gear, i.e. gloves, facemask, hairnet, etc.
