Job Title: Logistics Coordinator – Dispatch
NOC Code: 1320
Description\Duties
- Set up loads & drops in Famous to ensure loads are optimally routed & correct information is entered in Famous order (“shipments” tab) for Customs purposes
- Making sure drivers know what needs to be done with each specific load and double checking with the Compliance Officer that all drivers are keeping their logs legal and that they can run the loads dispatched to them
- Work with Logistics Coordinator – Reloads in order for Canada and USA fleet to pick up any product we may have purchased (airports/re-loads/cardboards) or rejections that need to be returned
- Working with the Shipping/Receiving department to ensure that the loads that are booked will fit on the trailers also leaving in a timely manner
- Communicate with Sales team when orders and loads are light and make suggestions to increase truck load efficiency
- Work with Manager to ensure accurate skid counts are conveyed to both LTL carriers and Shipping when carriers have limited space
- Send Load Confirmations to all carriers for loads by the end of each day…emphasizing special instructions
- Make appointments for Canada and USA orders – book online, VIA email, telephone … while supporting Logistics Manager and other dispatchers with all appointment scheduling as well
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be reliable, have consistent attendance and essential function to perform the work of a Custodian
- Must be punctual and dependable in order to meet the needs of the company
- Related experience is required for this position. Related education is an asset
- Attention to detail
Salary: $18 to start
Hours of Work: 8 hour shifts
