Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

Description\Duties

  • Daily Production Planning: Entering sales orders, monitoring/communicating order changes, ensuring all orders are covered, adjusting items as required to fulfill orders, ensuring timely completions
  • Coordinating dock appointments and scheduling load pick ups and drop offs
  • Loading and unloading trucks and ensuring quality, quantities, and item accuracy
  • Creating inventory by tagging finished goods and ensuring accuracy
  • Allocating product to sales orders based on FIFO, quality specification and allowable sizing
  • Ensure the right number of labels containing correct data are printed for packed product ahead of time
  • Preparing and completing quality reports and advising the warehouse supervisor of any spec sheet discrepancy regarding labels, quality specs, etc.
  • Working with warehouse supervisor and greenhouse supervisor to update on status on incoming/outgoing shipments.
  • Complete required documentation, records, and checklist; submit to appropriate management personnel
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and all company policies and procedures
  • Actively initiate, participate in, and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Reporting as required by management and the company
  • Additional duties as assigned by the company or management

Qualifications  

  • Training will be provided during onboarding; experience considered an asset
  • Good time management skills – to keep up with demand
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to participate, support
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Forklift Experience considered an asset
  • Role frequently requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, use hands to handle or feel product or packaging, and reach with hands and arms
  • The position requires the ability to regularly lift to 30-pounds, occasionally up to 50-pounds

Salary: TBD Based on Experience

Hours of Work: Full time, Permanent, hours of work may vary depending on business needs; Flexibility required.

Position Requires a Personal Vehicle: No but must have reliable way to get to work.

  • This job operates in a warehouse that can be cold or hot at any time of the year.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud due to packaging machinery and forklift truck operation.
