Job Title: Maintenance/Millwright Supervisor

Description\Duties

  • Create a participative work environment that encourages continuous improvement and a customer responsive attitude amongst all employees. Each employee must realize that other employees are their customers and that they must work to satisfy this customer as well as our ultimate customer
  • Responsible for ensuring that the area under their supervision fulfills the needs and goals of our Quality, Production, Safety and Loss Control systems in order to create a climate which leads to job security, improved working conditions and a world class competitive position.
  • Plan, organize and control the areas under their supervision to ensure shift schedules, work schedules and standards for productivity and efficiency are met or exceeded.
  • Promotes good housekeeping practices. Continually monitor and audit the area under supervision to ensure that Company standards and practices are being met and exceeded.
  • Plan, organize and control all activities in a cost-effective manner. Monitor and report to the Plant Manager on cost and expenses and will work diligently to eliminate scrap, rework, interruption to process, waste of perishable goods and supplies, (e.g. gloves) and ensure safe and productive use of our human resources.
  • Responsible for maintenance machinists, millwrights, automation technicians, apprentices and/or trainees under their supervision and ensure consistent production of a quality product.
  • Responsible for communicating, executing and meeting all quality goal by following the approved systems set out by the Company and for contributing ideas for improvements to these systems where possible.

Qualifications  

  • Training, ability and/or experience in maintenance and millwrights. Strong organizational and communication skill. Leadership ability.
